what is your take on what are you doing

Hmmmm..... someone asked me "what is your take on what are you doing" so that made me think what was I actually doing man....that actually made me think ...am I doing something to progress in life in any way???? hmmm...actually no.... I spend last even having coffee with one of my very good friends and we started talking about what good and bad was happening in our lives (since we met after long )....He had issues in personal and professional lives and we kind of pondered over them ....not finding solutions .....just talking about them.....then he asked me what was right or wrong at my end .....So in my life I thought everything was working on personal front :) god blesss ......but professionally.....I wish I could say that on that front too ....But God doesnt want ur life to be perfect....he always keeps a tinge ....a pinch of problem areas to keep us busy .... Professional life can be satisfying only when it helps you progress in life .....when you feel you are where you were 6 months back ...thats what causes the pain. When each passing day teaches you something new or brings something new in life thats when life looks balanced and progressive.... I always aspire to learn something new .....new each passing day personal or professional ....sometimes I am successful..... some days just sneak off just like that......

But lets hope for better days and more progressive days.... I am an optimist ....I always hope for a better future.

Pseudo Patriotism

The row about Narayan Murthy not playing the non worded national anthem and rather the instrumental version, and Sachin tendulakar cutting a tricolor cake has brought in the whole discussion about whose more patriotic. Who in the sane mind can believe that playing a non worded national anthem lowers the patriotism in you??? man.....i think patriotism is not not in words ....patriotism is always in your heart...its in your actions......saying does not make a person patriotic........All these corrupt politicians, if these people come in rallies and say they are patriotic and they love their country...but actually go back and do wide scale corruption and evoke communal tensions etc etc....now would you consider them patriotic in any way at all. Today the BJP leaders who have been charged with playing with communal passion distributing CDs may come out and say that they are patriotic and raise questions on a Murthy or a Tendulkar 's patriotism.....thats not done man....thats total hypocrisy.

I think a person is truly patriotic when he pays taxes on time.....when he donates to the society around him so people around him,his community can grow .....I think the army guys are patriotic coz they are risking their lives for people whom they don't even know..all in the name of motherland.

Saying is not enough ....actions have to speak rather than the words......Anyone who accuses of Narayan Murthy to be non patriotic should go back and see what he's done for the community around. Has he created good jobs for the youth in the country ....has he done anything for the environment or the society around him.....acts such as the above will make someone patriotic and not just singing the anthem in the right spirit.

Tough Life

My friend reminded me that I started my blog with "Happyness" as the caption but have not been able to write too many positive stuff in it. Last few days Cricket was on my mind so thats why the whole thing started looking like a cricket blog rather than a general one :D.....and that too much positive didn't happen in Cricket from India's front :(

Anyways so is our life tough .... ya I think it is . True there are ups and there are downs....true that there are happy exciting times and there are totally lul times ...... there are carefree moments and then some where we are made to think so hard that life seems challenging. But I guess people want to be happy in general.......I would like to think that each one of us is working in life to be happy. Now for some being satisfied with a particular situation or condition or stability brings in happiness and for others ..... more of them like me ..... we keep striving and looking for happiness in dissatisfaction. I mean for us happiness mean striving working for the distant future ..... for us change means happiness.......static constant monotonous stuff does not help our mindset. It means boredom which totally not what we want from life....none wants boredom....but for our kind of people it just crepes in too fast and keeps bothering us too soon ...ah I am just so troubled by this man .

Now one thing is the change required and another to choose what change in life you want. Whenever we have situations in which we need to choose which change to adopt in life ...... we do a full mental analysis and our brain evaluates based on the very complex algorithm it has been gifted with (though mine is quite a simple one :p) and tells us to adopt a particular one change. Now the problem arises here ....only sometimes not always ......this realizes to be the wrong choice alas ..... that makes life tough ....... TOUGH..... Yup tough.....but actually tough's fine ....tough brings in excitement......tough keeps me going......

FairPlay or FoulPlay

Its India Vs SriLanka the biggie today evening... man ..... my heart beats faster just to think of the consequences. Now I want to admit that I feel India doesn't stand a chance in front of the inform Lanka but the truth is ...such are the dynamics of the game that a better spirited team will win on a given day.......form or no form. Most of us are so passionate about about cricket that this is really on of the big evenings :).

But the morning began with shock of the proof of Bob Woolmer's murder :( ... money can help people achieve anything in this world. I think they are killing the game's spirit by introducing such fear tactics ..... you loose a game and you're dead .. thats ridiculous. Now how do they think people on field will perform with that kind of fear in mind. The jackasses don't realize that bringing in too much money and threat and stuff like that it would bring in more negativity in the game. I pity the Paki team whose must be struggling to prove innocence. Now the whole world at this moment does believe that the team may have got something to do with the MURDER. Anyone and Everyone around the Paki team is being fingerprinted DNA tested and God knows what. Many news channels are reporting that since the Paki vs Ireland match was fixed and Bob knew about the whole thing and may have revealed some IMPORTANT names. huh ..... this is a really really big incident and the is going to throw out a lot of mud around.

Moving on some good news also came out this afternoon related to Manjunath's Murder ..... remember the IIM guy who went out to uncover the goons in petrol pump business ... Yes the same guy. Justice prevails :D .......

Cricket Again :D

Its the cricket season so cant have anything more important than Cricket on my mind :). India was thrashed for last defeat......Paki team were cursed even more.......Dhoni's newly constructed house walls were brought down..... Bob Woolmer died mostly coz of not being able to take the pressure.......Inzamam ul haq resigned from one day and test cricket.......ufffffff ....so many things happening in the last 2 days. What bothers me most is that many of the previously listed incidents do not reflect the "Spirit of Sportsmanship". When in school there was so much talk, discussion and teaching about Sportsmanship in which the most important aspect was that winning and losing are part of the game. One needs to try and win but then if he looses he needs to except those circumstances too. Now do we burn down Chappel's and other players effigies after a loss just because we lack the "Spirit". Is this because we are not basically a sporty community (by which I mean most of us don't play too many sports) so as to take defeats patiently. But whatever may be the reasons ..... some of the violent dharnas or protest marches against the loosing team in front of their respective houses is totally unfair and uncalled for from their families. I think the blame of loosing is to be taken up by the team.....what does the team's families got to do with it.

Now the other major incident ....Bob woolmer's demise..... MAN that was shocking for me and many of the people around..... Does loosing badly inflict so much pain and pressure on an individual ...... and mind you not an ordinary one ..... he was the one coach who not only helped take SA to finals 1999 but also introduced a lot of technology usage in Cricket. The most interesting thing I found out on his profile was that he was born in Kanpur,India.

Anyways ending on a happy note, India played exceptionally well in first innings of India vs Bermuda match. 18 sixers in total 7 contributed by Yuvi and stylish 57 by Sachin ..... lovely to see so many runs scored.

Bangladesh Vs India

A dramatically sad start to our campaign in the world cup.We can loose to Bangladesh and that too by as considerable margin as 5 wickets. Isn't that unbelievably irritating for all us fans who woke up all night expecting just a decent (not extraordinary just DECENT) performance from our dear team. 6 guys with single digit score and our big hope Dhoni with a BIG DUCK (sob sob sob). News headlines the next day say Dravid blames "bad batting" for India's defeat....... :P Tell us something new sir......tell us something which we all don't know already. Everyone knows the problem its the solution which the team was supposed come out with when they were to play their 1st world cup game.

Man whats happening in world cricket today we lost to Bangladesh and Pakis lost to Ireland (I didn't know they had a team till recent past :P). And the funniest thing was Sindhu discussing at 7: 30 in the morning whose defeat was more humiliating.....he he.....This just strengthens ICCs resolve to include such newbie teams in the next installment of the tournament even after after some protests this time.

I was just wondering who are they going make the scapegoat if India actually losses to Lanka and gets thrown out of the competition (not am not being pessimistic just plain logical :P). My guess is they are going to burn down Chapel's in the form effigies and throw him out of the country. Even though it was players who didn't actually rise up to the occasion its going to be he who would be told that it was his strategies which caused the disaster. That would be an easy option won't it be :).

I am still hopeful of India that they would be able to thrash Lanka and Bermuda (another newbie) to go to the next level......and TV channels will be able to play HO HA INDIA .... AAYA INDIA for a little more time :P

Again Today

It was another slow day of less work and more of reading stuff. Left office early, in a pensive mood but as I started driving back listening to Radio Indigo Rohit Barker played "I Believe I can fly". Ah this is one of my favorite songs and as Wiki tells us that its a 1966 song and is one of the most popular songs. My favorite lines out of this are :

If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

Listening to this just lifted my spirits right back to where they are generally which is quite high :)

After coming home switched on TV and last one hour they have been showing the live coverage of attacks on Pakistani Geo TV .Its amazing to see how in this modern world of liberalization and globalism there can dictators thriving right under the nose such powerful democratic forces as India and US. How can u just remove a Chief Justice and then go ransack and breakdown the whole Media office of a leading channel. Its such a pity and my heart goes out in support of the guys fighting this out and try to bring in the free culture we such much take for granted here in India.
