FairPlay or FoulPlay

Its India Vs SriLanka the biggie today evening... man ..... my heart beats faster just to think of the consequences. Now I want to admit that I feel India doesn't stand a chance in front of the inform Lanka but the truth is ...such are the dynamics of the game that a better spirited team will win on a given day.......form or no form. Most of us are so passionate about about cricket that this is really on of the big evenings :).

But the morning began with shock of the proof of Bob Woolmer's murder :( ... money can help people achieve anything in this world. I think they are killing the game's spirit by introducing such fear tactics ..... you loose a game and you're dead .. thats ridiculous. Now how do they think people on field will perform with that kind of fear in mind. The jackasses don't realize that bringing in too much money and threat and stuff like that it would bring in more negativity in the game. I pity the Paki team whose must be struggling to prove innocence. Now the whole world at this moment does believe that the team may have got something to do with the MURDER. Anyone and Everyone around the Paki team is being fingerprinted DNA tested and God knows what. Many news channels are reporting that since the Paki vs Ireland match was fixed and Bob knew about the whole thing and may have revealed some IMPORTANT names. huh ..... this is a really really big incident and the is going to throw out a lot of mud around.

Moving on some good news also came out this afternoon related to Manjunath's Murder ..... remember the IIM guy who went out to uncover the goons in petrol pump business ... Yes the same guy. Justice prevails :D .......

Cricket Again :D

Its the cricket season so cant have anything more important than Cricket on my mind :). India was thrashed for last defeat......Paki team were cursed even more.......Dhoni's newly constructed house walls were brought down..... Bob Woolmer died mostly coz of not being able to take the pressure.......Inzamam ul haq resigned from one day and test cricket.......ufffffff ....so many things happening in the last 2 days. What bothers me most is that many of the previously listed incidents do not reflect the "Spirit of Sportsmanship". When in school there was so much talk, discussion and teaching about Sportsmanship in which the most important aspect was that winning and losing are part of the game. One needs to try and win but then if he looses he needs to except those circumstances too. Now do we burn down Chappel's and other players effigies after a loss just because we lack the "Spirit". Is this because we are not basically a sporty community (by which I mean most of us don't play too many sports) so as to take defeats patiently. But whatever may be the reasons ..... some of the violent dharnas or protest marches against the loosing team in front of their respective houses is totally unfair and uncalled for from their families. I think the blame of loosing is to be taken up by the team.....what does the team's families got to do with it.

Now the other major incident ....Bob woolmer's demise..... MAN that was shocking for me and many of the people around..... Does loosing badly inflict so much pain and pressure on an individual ...... and mind you not an ordinary one ..... he was the one coach who not only helped take SA to finals 1999 but also introduced a lot of technology usage in Cricket. The most interesting thing I found out on his profile was that he was born in Kanpur,India.

Anyways ending on a happy note, India played exceptionally well in first innings of India vs Bermuda match. 18 sixers in total 7 contributed by Yuvi and stylish 57 by Sachin ..... lovely to see so many runs scored.

Bangladesh Vs India

A dramatically sad start to our campaign in the world cup.We can loose to Bangladesh and that too by as considerable margin as 5 wickets. Isn't that unbelievably irritating for all us fans who woke up all night expecting just a decent (not extraordinary just DECENT) performance from our dear team. 6 guys with single digit score and our big hope Dhoni with a BIG DUCK (sob sob sob). News headlines the next day say Dravid blames "bad batting" for India's defeat....... :P Tell us something new sir......tell us something which we all don't know already. Everyone knows the problem its the solution which the team was supposed come out with when they were to play their 1st world cup game.

Man whats happening in world cricket today we lost to Bangladesh and Pakis lost to Ireland (I didn't know they had a team till recent past :P). And the funniest thing was Sindhu discussing at 7: 30 in the morning whose defeat was more humiliating.....he he.....This just strengthens ICCs resolve to include such newbie teams in the next installment of the tournament even after after some protests this time.

I was just wondering who are they going make the scapegoat if India actually losses to Lanka and gets thrown out of the competition (not am not being pessimistic just plain logical :P). My guess is they are going to burn down Chapel's in the form effigies and throw him out of the country. Even though it was players who didn't actually rise up to the occasion its going to be he who would be told that it was his strategies which caused the disaster. That would be an easy option won't it be :).

I am still hopeful of India that they would be able to thrash Lanka and Bermuda (another newbie) to go to the next level......and TV channels will be able to play HO HA INDIA .... AAYA INDIA for a little more time :P

Again Today

It was another slow day of less work and more of reading stuff. Left office early, in a pensive mood but as I started driving back listening to Radio Indigo Rohit Barker played "I Believe I can fly". Ah this is one of my favorite songs and as Wiki tells us that its a 1966 song and is one of the most popular songs. My favorite lines out of this are :

If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

Listening to this just lifted my spirits right back to where they are generally which is quite high :)

After coming home switched on TV and last one hour they have been showing the live coverage of attacks on Pakistani Geo TV .Its amazing to see how in this modern world of liberalization and globalism there can dictators thriving right under the nose such powerful democratic forces as India and US. How can u just remove a Chief Justice and then go ransack and breakdown the whole Media office of a leading channel. Its such a pity and my heart goes out in support of the guys fighting this out and try to bring in the free culture we such much take for granted here in India.

The Beginning....(continued)

The newbie I am at blogging :D I published the previous blog thinking that I was just saving a draft :P.
Anyways in continuation.....

I love the positivity of determination and I love the fact that if a person recognizes his goal in life he is in a much better position to become successful. But alas life isn't that easy. I am stilling searching for that distant goal in life. I am working hard to do various things in life but as of now, as of today, as of this minute I am without one.

The Beginning

I have been trying to start blogging from ever now, but lazy me .So this is the day I post my first one. I told a friend that would try to start blogging on a happy note.

So first things first. Why the Y in happyness, rather than the i??? I recently watched this movie called "The.Pursuit.Of.Happyness" (hope u noticed the Y).It was a lovely movie about a poor guy who tries to meet ends in his on a daily basis, who rises from that situation to run one of the very successful brokerage firms in US. Now whats amazing about this movie is that its based on real life sequences in the life of one man called Chris Gardner. Now don't we all like happy endings :) but the best part of this story is not the happy ending but the man's unshaken determined effort to become successful. From his position of worrying about the day's Bed and Bread to becoming a successful broker and a millionaire.

I love the positivity of determination and I love the fact that if a person recognizes his goal in life he is in a much better position to
